Hey there,
Long time no speak!!
Well, I was sitting on the throne today thinking about stuff. And I thought to myself..."I would bet money that the dirtiest part of anyone's home at any one time is the top of the soap dispenser."
I can count the times on one hand that I've cleaned the top of the soap dispenser bottle.
Anyhow, I'm distracted right now and can't think of a proper way to close this post. So, I'm going to try to keep up with my blog over the summer, and fill everyone in on the wonderful happenings in the life of Sneevil!!
Cheers!

Well...long time no post
11.14.06 (1:11 pm) [edit]
Hey everyone,
Well, I can see that not everyone has given up on me and some people still check the ole blog to see if Sneevil has fallen off the face of the earth.
Well, I'm alive and kickin' pretty hard. I'm definately immersed in life. I'm working more, which is good. Work is fluctuation as usual, but I can handle it. School is going exceptionally well. I'm officially an A student so far this term. My mid-terms were pretty good. It's funny that now that I'm in upper years, I'm finally getting the grades. They sure make it hard during the first couple of years. Well...maybe I just figured out how to study.
MK and I have officially moved in together. Everything is great! I never thought I'd actually find someone who I could imagine living with...hehehe. We have some interesting stories to tell about the move, but for the most part it's over. We're just going to clean up his old appartment tonight and then we're done. Anyhow...we're all extremely happy.
LG has her big dance debut coming up in a couple of weeks. The same day as Eowyn's wedding actually, but we'll be able to make both events. So, I have to get material and make her little dress and stuff. I'm so glad I finally figured out how to use my sewing machine...hehehe.
Other than that, life is pretty much the same as it's always been. We're all going about doing our thing and getting through it.
Well, signing off now. I'll write again when I have something to say.
Cheers peoples!

Unsolved murder
09.22.06 (2:01 pm) [edit]
So I came out of my house this morning on my way to school and was surprised to see a CBC news van outside with a camera man taking shots of my house.
He appologized, but told me that he was following up on the story of what happened seven years ago. For those who don't know, a 94 year old lady who lived here alone was raped and murdered. They people who did it flooded the house and left her here. They found her a few days later. They never caught who did it.
So I asked him if he was doing a new story on it, and he told me that they charged someone today. I was completely elated!!! What a relief! He asked me why I was so happy about it on camera, and I was completely nervous and just started babbling...hehehe. I hate public speaking.
Anyhow, I guess I'll be on tonight's news!
Here's the story from CBC website:

All white people are racist
09.22.06 (10:57 am) [edit]
My Aboriginal justice professor had the balls to make this blatant, offending and racist remark in our lecture.
Apparantly, all white people are racist. It isn't intentional. It's just something they can't help because they have "white privilige". Maybe she's right. I mean...I can't say that I'm not racist. It isn't something I can really help. Like, if I see someone of a different race on a bus, do you smile at them? If you do, are they going to think you're only doing it because of their ethnicity? Do you ignore them? If so, are you only doing so because of their color? Do you do it because you don't know what to do? Isn't that, in itself, racism? I think so.
The thing is...why are only white people racist? There was a lady in class who told a story of her grandfather telling her that white men are bad and that they'll only hurt her. Why isn't that racist? The prof's explanation is because it wasn't a malicious act. It was an attempt to protect his grandaugter.
So, if I am constantly exposed to negative behaviour with respect to other races of people, and I tell MY daughter that the people of those other races are bad and will hurt her...why does that make ME any more racist than that grandfather? Oh..I forgot. I'm Metis. I guess that analogy wouldn't apply to me. Or maybe only partly to me, since I'm just a half-breed.
I'm really trying to understand why everyone puts down white people. Why are they so bad? They're users, racists, abusers, takers and leeches. Is it so wrong for the white man to treat others like themselves as though they are being abused by other races of people? Because they are. Why is it so wrong to be proud to be white? Why can the Aboriginal people be proud to be who they are...but not the white people? Why do African people have a holiday to celebrate themselves, but if the white people had a "white pride" day, they're just even bigger racists? Why does the world shame white people? They can't help that they're white, just like the rest of the world can't help what color they are. Ancestors make mistakes...and the white people made a lot of them. Why does the world shame their children and grandchildren for hundreds of years?
I'm really trying to understand...but there's a fair amount of dissonance with respect to what I'm being taught in this class. It isn't fitting.

Need research help
09.18.06 (7:10 am) [edit]
Okay, I've decided on an idea for my sociology papers. I don't have much experience in this department, so I'm going to need help.
Why is there such a drastic difference between the behaviour of women and men when they are watching strippers? That is, opposite-sexed strippers.
Now, I've seen men at a strip club. There just isn't too much happening there. They sit there and watch the girls dance with their hands in their...ahem..."laps", and throw the odd 5-spot into their g-string.
Women, on the other hand (so I've heard), turn into lunatics when they get to see a male stripper. Apparantly their behaviour can be so deviant that people will leave the show. But, I've never been to a male stripper, so I've decided that I need to go now. Anyone want to join me?
Also, any comments on the subject would help out a lot. If you've ever been to see a male stripper, I'd like to hear about it.
Thanks for the help!!

Dark side of the rainbow
09.10.06 (12:02 pm) [edit]
Well, MK is finally back in town!!! YAY!! I am extremely happy about that. He was sure missed...but then I'm a great big marshmallow of a sucky, heh.
So I was surfing online and I came across this film. It is the Wizard of Oz, but it is synchronized to Pink Floyd's Dark side of the Moon album. It's pretty trippy how everything works toghether. Everything from the tornado to the appearance of the wicked witch. Even the lyrics are timed significantly.
I recommend everyone check it out!! It's pretty trippy.

Boy, was I at the right place at the right time!!!
09.09.06 (4:22 am) [edit]
So, I go out for a nice long coffee with my girlfriend last night. I was in my PJs already and had to work until midnight. I wouldn't normally go for coffee that late, but I was missing my boyfriend quite a bit and needed the company. I drank LOTS of joe, and didn't get home unitl around 2am.
So I finally hit the sack after three visits to the bathroom. I know, I know...what did I THINK 2 hours of coffee would get me? Anyhow...three visits, bed, sleep. I wake up for a fourth potty break at around 5am. I get up, half asleep, do my thing and head back downstairs. As I enter my bedroom, I notice a burning smell. I hate burning smells, 'cause I'm very anal about the possibility of burning to death in a house fire and when I smell things like this, I wonder if I may be dreaming or imagining things.
So, I run upstairs and I can still smell it in the kitchen. Not so much in the living room though. I go back downstairs and check the furnace...it's cold but the fan is blowing, so I assume the smell is outside. I head back to bed, but then a creepy feeling of something not right runns down my spine, and I stop and stand by the bed for a second. For some reason, I think of a wiring problem within the walls. There's NO WAY I'll be able to sleep now, unless I find out what's going on.
So I head back upstairs and open the back door. I can see over the fence and into the ally, the unmistakable orange, flickering reflection of a fire. I run to the phone but it's dead. I charge downstairs to get the other one, aware that precious seconds are ticking by and I don't know what's burning. I have a feeling that it might be a dumpster, but if that's the cause, it's a pretty big dumpster!!
My adrenaline is gushing as I dial 911 while I'm rushing outside at full speed. I get far enough to see the actual flames as the operator answers the call and connects me to the fire department. I can hardly speak, I'm shaking with the urgency of it all, and I tell the dispatcher what I see along with the address. She tells me that they are on their way, so I hang up and fly back to the house, through it and over to the neighbour's. I frantically ring the doorbell and I can see someone's shadow as they check to see who it is. They open the door and I deliver the news...."Your garage is on fire!!"
Everyone in the house is awake now and I make my way into the back yard to get a better view. It's a better view alright, but the space between the garage and the house only serves to become a resevoir for the smoke. By lungs begin to burn within minutes and my eyes water to the point where I had to leave and come home. I sat on the front step, mistakenly thinking that it would be better than going into the house, but it really wasn't. The fire SUV pulled up and the fireman got out to talk to me. He said that that was the third garage fire they've had within an hour.
Now here I am...charged with the morning's craziness. My lungs have stopped hurting so much, but they feel funny and I'm still kinda wheezy. I'm secretly glad it wasn't my house, but at the same time, pissed off at the kind of people who would do this. I went out to watch after they got the blaze put out. The garage doesn't actually look that bad...I mean, there is lots of work to be done. It's old, so it might even need to be torn down, but I don't know if the contents got damaged that badly. But then...I haven't seen the inside. From what I can tell, they likely got to it before it became a complete writeoff.
What do I need to look for adventure for? Just live in Alphabet City...it has a way of finding YOU!

Up and running
09.08.06 (9:00 am) [edit]
Well, school is back in full swing. I have some very interesting classes this year. Man, the first couple of days is just like Christmas, 'cause I never remember what classes I'm signed up in until I get there. And then I sit there with a big grin on my face, listening to my prof utter the word "fuck" over and over again, thinking....Oh yeah! Philosophy of Sex. Perfect to start off a long day of lectures.
So anyhow, I came across a lovely photo that I thought I would share with everyone. Some things just you should try a little harder not to drop.

One more day left
08.30.06 (2:03 pm) [edit]
Well, my oldest and dearest friend came down from Ontario to visit me two weeks ago. I can't believe the time went so fast! There was so much more I wanted to do and show her...there just isn't enough time, and tomorrow morning she will be gone before the sun comes up. :(
It's going to be hard to see her go. We haven't seen each other for six years. Our kids were babies together and then we both moved away from Calgary and away from each other.
Stupid circumstances...they get in the way of living sometimes. On the upside, I think I've convinced her to move up this way next summer. I sure hope she does.
I will remember her trip anyhow, even if she doesn't come this way. We have lots of pictures and we got a portrait done with us and the girls.
My house has never been cleaner though...hehehe. That woman can clean!! The one thing I'll never forget is standing in the laundry room, ready to turn off the light and not being able to because right at the last minute, she swoops in with a rag and a bottle of spray cleaner and starts scrubbing the light switch. Dude...all I could do was stand there and stare. It was pretty funny.
She has EVERYTHING in her purse. She can dryclean her laundry in a porta pottie, she's that good.
Now, I have to poke fun at her. We were mowing the lawn and she tips over the mower and starts cleaning the underside with a stick. When she was done, I asked her why I couldn't see my face in it. "what's the matter?", I asked. "Didn't you bring your lawnmower shiner with you"?
I'm really gonna miss my friend. But I'm sure glad she came to visit.

Birthday surprises!!!
08.22.06 (12:36 pm) [edit]
Well...what can I say? This year I'm another year older and I have to say, this was the best birthday yet.
My sweetie got his nipples pierced..YAY!!! I love nipples. They're fun. I got completely spoiled by him...hehehe.
I told him that if he wants to come over to the dark side, he'll have to prove he's worthy. To do that he'd have to do something really dark...like make a Bonsai Kitten. So...guess what I got for my birthday?
Yup...a Bonsai Kitten!! (of course it's only a stuffed animal), but the thought that went into that gift will not soon be forgotten...hehehe. He also got me a spa package. I'M GOING TO GET A PETICURE!!!!
Sweet! This guy is definitely a keeper!!
My very best and oldest friend in the world came down from Ontario for two weeks to visit me, so she's here too! She thought that it was a shame that I slept on a paltry air mattress when we were camping, so she went out and got me one of them inflatable beds that has a frame and pillow top and stuff. Like...wow!
All I need for my camping trips now is a 36" tv!! I could put it in the living room in my huge tent! Hehehe. Those who have gone camping with me this year will know what I'm talking about.
Anyhow...long story short...best birthday ever!! I'm so lucky to be surrounded by so many of my loved ones.

Fantastic Weekend
07.10.06 (1:14 pm) [edit]
Went camping this weekend. Pike lake was busy and LG found lots of other kids to play with, which was kinda nice. We got a nice campsite and we were close to the lake, so it was convenient.
We went for a nice long canoe ride and saw a beaver house and collected cat tails, snails and lilly pads.
MK and I spend most of Sunday laying in the sun with periodic dips in the lake, without which I would have melted into nothingness. Luckily, I only got severely roasted and spend the evening laying my poor, crispy skin on my nice cool waterbed.
All in all, it was a great time, and I'm truly reluctant to return to reality!!!

My kid has super powers!!!
07.06.06 (9:09 am) [edit]
LG came up to me the other day and quietly delcared that she could make the doorknob move by just looking at it. So, of course, I wanted to see this. She stood there in the middle of the kitchen, her face a mask of concentration and stared at that doorknob. I cleverly pretended to be doing the dishes so that she didn't feel self-conscious...but secretly, I was watching to see if it really would turn...heh.
Of course, it didn't. LG made up an excuse about not being able to move it because it was shiny. Later, we were driving to work, and she told me of her second super power.
She told me that when we're going by something really fast...like in the car, she is able to turn her head and make an object slow down so that she can look at it.
I love kids. Love them!!

Sooo much FUN!!
06.26.06 (12:16 pm) [edit]
Oh God! The SLARPA was amazing! The costuming alone was phenominal. Everyone deserves a huge pat on the back.
LG got to play in her first LARP! She was my daughter, Hermione (of course...heh). She was great! She stayed in character all night and she had a good time. She totally wanted to do it again when she found out I had another game on Saturday...heh. That's my girl!
I don't get the chance to play the type of characters that I played this weekend very often...so it was refreshing to step out of my element for a while. Very very fun...especially the Nightmare City game, 'cause I totally got to hit on everyone I've always wanted to hit on...hehehehe. Edmonton people are hot.
A bunch of friends took the kids to the zoo on Sunday and it was great!! The weather was perfect and the company was excellent. (giggle).
But, with the stroke of midnight, we are all forced to return to reality and become as normal as we are able, once again.
Can't wait until next year. Did I mention that the Edmonton people are hot?

What Kind of Different Demon are you...? ( Anime-ish pics )
You are a Khaos Demon. Aside from the obvious, you are the Khaos Angel in a demon form making you also prone to suffer. The only good thing about your suffering is that you can force this out on other people. You love drowning the world in your sorrow, and if you have been pushed around enough, you kill and slaughter without a thought. If need be, you can make everyone around you feel bad becouse of your sorrow. Dramatic... And you are a rare find in this world. (Yes, again. It is spelled Khaos becouse of the breed. Its insane to find one.) Take this !

I got my outfit for the game...well, at least, pieces of it. I'm going to be working my ass off to get it ready in time, since we just got the character list yesterday and the game is on Saturday. Just decided what character I was going to play this morning...but it hasn't been approved yet. I sure hope it is, or all this costuming stuff will be for nothing.

One day left!!
06.21.06 (12:36 pm) [edit]
Tomorrow is LG's last day of kindergarten. I can NOT believe that she's done already. I'm kinda sad about that. She's growing so fast. Every day I look at her and remember things, like when she first learned to run. Her one arm was always cocked and I'd marvel over how she never hit herself in the face as it swung toward her with the exertion.
Don't get me wrong. I don't wish she was still a baby or anything. It's just that it's going by so fast. Now, with the completion of kg, she will be in "real" school next year.
*sigh* Seeing her finish this year is even harder than it was to watch her get on that school bus for the first time.
God, I'm a marshmallow.

Aaaaah...camping
06.13.06 (8:33 am) [edit]
We actually had a lot of fun out there. There were quite a few people, and we came away with some pretty awesome stories. Like, QK and his burger/fire/beer antics...or KT trying to ride my bike and hitting the ditch. That was just before MK wanted to try it and ended up flat on his back with the bike sticking straight up on end. He was actually kinda still sitting on it. It was hilarious.
The weather sucked, but we remained relatively dry under the little refugee camp that we had resurrected in one of the sites. We cooked...and ate. And ate. And ate some more. I have affectionately named this trip...the weekend of eat.
So, fun was had by ever single soggy one of us. It was nice to get home though.
On a sadder note, LG's little hamster, Mitzie Gainer died while we were away. She was such a cute little rodent. I found her last night after LG had gone to bed. So I put her in a little box and stuck her in the fridge. I cleaned up her cage and put it away.
When LG got up, she immediately noticed that Mitzie's cage was missing and asked where she went. So I told her. I thought she would be a little more emotional than that, but she just kinda shrugged and asked if she could have another one.
I don't know if we should have a little funeral for her or if I should just bury her or put her in the trash bin outside(that's what my mom always did). I don't want to traumatize her, but I also want her to realize that life is precious and that it isn't a trivial thing when one is lost. I also want her to realize that death is an inevitable part of life, and that it needs to be dealt with.
Hmmm....this parenting thing is challenging sometimes. You never really know what you're doing to your kids by either protecting them or exposing them to things like this. It's a tough call.

Okay, now to rant
06.09.06 (11:01 am) [edit]
I got an email about a girl who went missing. Pleading for people to pass on her picture in a short letter from her mother.
I don't usually pass things like this on, but this one just kinda got to me. Life changes quite a bit when you're a mother, and you start giving a damn about the kids of the world just a little bit more than you did before.
So, I think to myself, "That poor mother. I would probably be doing the same thing if I were in her shoes. I would be devastated, and would emolore the people of the world..any people..all people, to help me find my daughter". So, I forward the email on to almost everyone I know. Family, frinds.
Then I check SNOPES. And lo and behold...it's a hoax. A FUCKING HOAX about a missing young girl!!
So, I was momentarily aghast that I had emailed all these people for nothing, spreading the horrible truth...that I can be got! I don't know what happened! I never fall for these things, and I spend lots of time debunking things for other people when they send me stupid shit. But this one...this one got me. I can only blame it on maternal instincts and maybe lack of sleep.
However, I quickly came to the conclusion that those who know me would assume as much. But, the more I thought about it, the angrier I became. For a different reason.
What kind of sick fucking joke is THAT? I mean, what happens when someone really does go missing and their mother sends out mass emails begging for help? How many people, because of this shitty little stunt, are going to just delete it as soon as it is read, and not even bother to check it out?
Fucking kids don't use their brains! What happens if someday, little Ashley really does go missing?
The kids who did this are really stupid. It was needless, it could end up costing someone their child because people are fed up with emails that just cry wolf, and it didn't accomplish one stinking thing, except to make everyone look out for little Ashley. And boy...if we ever find her.

06.05.06 (11:01 pm) [edit]
Oh...my....
I really don't want my blog to turn into an American Idiot-fest. But there is just SO MUCH!!!
Here's the latest. Have you ever heard of that "Baptist" cult that demonstrates anti-gay hate protests at the grave sites of fallen American soldiers? During their burials?
Yeah, you've heard of them sick fucks who like to torture the families of kids while they are trying to say their last goodbyes. Yeah, the same soldiers that are protecting the country's freedoms...like that of the first amendment, which these assholes are so shamelessly abusing. Well, I guess they're called the Westboro Baptist Church. They were idiots at a 20 year old kid's funeral and now his father is suing them. It's about frigging time.
http://www.matthewsnyder.org/...
Do the world a favor and show the poor guy some support. An encouraging word can go a long way. I can't imagine how painful it must have been...what they did to him.
Holy shit are these guys out to lunch. You should google them. It's a pretty fucked-up read.
Anyhow, one of the links on their homepage is God Hates Canada. According to these slimey blobs of wasted flesh, God also hates America and Sweden. I knew that Swedesh porn would get you a one way ticket to hell...hehehe.
"WBC members have been arrested at Ottawa's International Airport upon entering Canada to picket Parliament and burn the Canadian flag." Ain't we stinkers? We're just wreckin' the whole world, aren't we? There aren't enough names in the book for these "people".
Well, here's the link.
http://www.godhatescanada.com...
I just have to say that it's pretty disturbing how grossly indecent these people are and how deluded and abusive they are to their fellow man. For one thing....Canada isn't a state. Dumbasses. I say...if we just wait long enough, they'll either blow themselves up or drink some tasty grape juice with TomKat.
Buncha sickos.
