DEATH TO CORPORATIONS!!! posted by: SNEEVIL (reply) post date: 04.13.05 (9:16 pm) Reply to: care Hehehe...I totally do that too! Stick it to the man!!! posted by: W (reply) post date: 05.05.05 (5:51 am) New comment on an old posting, but I just thought I'd say... Don't blame the sales associate. Policy is policy, and no one wants to get yelled at by their boss because yet another person seemed to be an exception to the policy. When I work at the 7-11, all bags get left at the front. Young kid, 30 year old guy in a suit, eldery grandmother type - don't matter, "Ma'am, could you please leave your backpack at the front of the store? Thank you." No discrimination - policy gets applied to everyone. No exceptions. Whether it's a good policy or not...take it up with management. Not saying you /were/ blaming the sales associate - you seemed to be focused on management in your posting, which is a good thing. =) posted by: SNEEVIL (reply) post date: 06.13.05 (3:15 am) Reply to: W What would they do if I dropped off my backpack at the door, opened it up and pulled out a HUGE ASSED purse? Would they make me leave it there or would they let me take it in to continue my shopping? My point is, that a bag is a bag. Why should my backpack be not allowed in a store? The only difference is that a backpack is actually LESS accessable for theft, since it happens to be ON MY BACK instead of under my arm where it would be more convenient for shoplifting, don't you agree? Yes, I blame the policy makers. |
