Need research help

Okay, I've decided on an idea for my sociology papers. I don't have much experience in this department, so I'm going to need help.

Why is there such a drastic difference between the behaviour of women and men when they are watching strippers? That is, opposite-sexed strippers.

Now, I've seen men at a strip club. There just isn't too much happening there. They sit there and watch the girls dance with their hands in their...ahem..."laps", and throw the odd 5-spot into their g-string.

Women, on the other hand (so I've heard), turn into lunatics when they get to see a male stripper. Apparantly their behaviour can be so deviant that people will leave the show. But, I've never been to a male stripper, so I've decided that I need to go now. Anyone want to join me?

Also, any comments on the subject would help out a lot. If you've ever been to see a male stripper, I'd like to hear about it.

Thanks for the help!!

I would guess it has a lot to do with fear of violence. There is a belief that the women can't hurt the male stripper but men watching a female stripper could hurt her. This is why there is the huge bouncer who will squash the men watching if they get out of line.
