Gamers...will they ever learn?
04.24.04 (4:31 pm)   [edit]
Good day all...
Well, I figured that instead of overwhelming everyone else's blogs with my curiously freaky life stories, I'd start my own.
It looked like fun, quite honestly.
So here I am and here I shall be if ever you would like a glimpse into my strangely disturbing existence.

The first thing I would like to share is my gradual deterioration with respect to gaming and working.
Gehenna.
For some reason, people find that gaming until 4am on weekdays is the way to go. That's okay, I think...I'm young, right?
Right.
Game no 1 - Game until 4am. Get up for work at 6 the next day with minimal negative effect
Game no 2 - Slept through most of the game. Got home around 4am. Lost an hour somewhere between the time the alarm went off and the time I actually got to work. Until I got there, I actually thought I was early. Try to explain THAT one to the boss.
Game no. 3 - Game until 4am. Wake up at 6:30 on a saturday morning because Cory fed me too much Expresso and I had to pee. Stifle surprised shriek as legs give out and I fall to floor.
Have heart to heart with legs until they work again.
Now, do I learn anything from this? Yes, I do. Do I do it again?
Next game Sunday.

Gah! I know -that- feeling... Every time I game till 4 a.m., it means I have to spend at least a week catching up on sleep. An extra half hour here, a quick cat nap there...Sleep is definately at a premium.

And Cory's coffee is incredibly dangerous. I was -soooo- wired last night, I was beginning to scare myself. Mental note: Espresso and Alina don't mix.

Cory told me a couple of funky things about the werewolf campaign but he stopped short of telling me anything that would actually HELP our elders...
